The Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph invites applications from Indigenous and/or Black scholars for a Tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level. We welcome qualified applicants working in any area of psychology. The anticipated start date for this appointment is July 1, 2025 (or another mutually agreed-upon date in 2025).
Responsibilities
- Teaching: The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and provide undergraduate and graduate level supervision and mentorship.
- Research and Scholarship: The successful candidate is expected to establish, maintain, and fund an innovative and productive research program in psychology that will enhance the research strengths of the department.
- Service: We seek a candidate committed to contributing to the department, the university, and the broader community. Responsibilities may include academic advising, participation in student and departmental, college, or University committees, and engagement in community outreach and professional service activities.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD in Psychology though candidates who are ABD or with a PhD in an associated discipline will be considered.
